Attached below is a scan of the PK-6th grade classroom supply lists.
7-12th grade students will be informed of necessary supplies / materials at their first days of classes, but I would recommend each come with a backpack, lined paper, pencils, pen, and a removable thumb drive (computer storage system).

PD focus for 2015-2016
I am very excited to begin the 2015-2016 school year with a great team of professionals, students, and families. This year, staff, through district professional development opportunities, will focus on data and whole child. Teachers will explore a deeper understanding of what different data points are telling us about the work we are doing with our students, and lessons from a program called The 7 Mindsets will assist students and others in our school system to explore ways to lead and live extraordinary lives. I believe we are headed into what could well be one of our best school years yet! Join me in this venture - Michelle Patterson - PK-12 Principal
School Communication Efforts
Otis R-3 is utilizing an "auto dialer" program to send out timely announcements to students and families of the district. If you have a student attending Otis R-3 schools, PLEASE verify your contact information is into our "auto dialer" system. Notifications such as school closures, reminders, sports' schedule particulars, etc. are sent out through this system. Individuals and families will be assisted with this process at the upcoming Registration, set for August 5th (7-12 noon) and 6th (1-6pm) -- this is Open House format, so come when it works for you. One may also contact the district's technology director Jeff Jones (246-3486) for assistance. Be "in the know" - set up your notification account now!
A Little Bit about your Principal ...
I have taught ten years in the Otis school district and served two years as PK-12 Principal. I started way back in 1993 as a student teacher. In 1994 I was hired as a full-time teacher and as the assistant boys' and girls' basketball coach. In 2000, after six years in the classroom (elem., middle, and high school), I took an extended "vacation" (Ha! Ha!) to be a stay-at-home mom for my (and my husband Collin's) four children. When our youngest started preschool in 2009, I was very excited to take another teaching position within the district. During that time, I returned to college and received my Master's Degree. In 2013, I was hired as the district's PK-12 Principal - a position I continue to work and grow professionally in.
This calendar notes the days / dates school is in session, vacations, mid-semester and semester dates, parent/teacher conferences, etc. Please be sure to note these important details on your personal calendars as well.
